New Book: Conservation in Common

We are pleased to share that Justin Raycraft’s book, Conservation in Common: Managing Wildlife and Sustaining Community on the Maasai Steppe has been published by the University of Georgia Press as part of their Geographies of Justice and Social Transformation series. Conservation in Common provides the first anthropological account of a conservation area in Tanzania that serves the interests of its local community, thereby making the case that protecting wildlife habitat and safeguarding human well-being are not mutually exclusive activities.
